This uncirculated Sri Lanka 50 Rupees Banknote is part of the 2010 series issued by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. It is a combination of blue and green. The front features a blue oakleaf butterfly, an ancient stone arch railway bridge with a train, an old steel bridge, a new concrete automobile bridge at Manampitiya, a Sri Lanka dull blue flycatcher bird, and a lion holding a whip with a sword. The back side of the banknote shows a Yakbera drummer and a Vadiga Patuna dancer, a guard stone with the pot of plenty which is a symbol of prosperity, and a stylized liya vela floral motif. This banknote features a security thread with printed CBL RS 50. It also has a watermark that reveals a flycatcher bird with an electrotype 50 and Cornerstones.
